Our Story

Our story begins with our founders, Berhanu and Menbere (Be-Men), who have been married for 25 years. Like many Ethiopians, Berhanu and Menbere have had a lifelong passion for coffee. They started Bemen Coffee to share their passion with the rest of the world.

We work hand in hand with over 3,000 smallholder farmers across Ethiopia's major coffee regions, alongside a small group of single-farm producers, to share some of the country's most expressive coffees. Beyond showcasing Great Coffee, our Greater Purpose is to create real, lasting impact in the communities that make this work possible.

We believe in building sustainable partnerships with our farmers, paying market premiums to our producers, and supporting community development initiatives. Every cup of Bemen Coffee represents the dedication of Ethiopian farmers and the rich heritage of Ethiopian coffee culture.

From our carefully selected washing stations to our rigorous quality control processes, we ensure that every bean meets the highest standards. Our coffee is a testament to Ethiopia's position as the birthplace of coffee and the enduring quality that comes from generations of coffee cultivation expertise.
